In an iconic location next to the famous Vatican City, BE.RA is an oasis for beer lovers, where you can taste excellent craft beers of various types pairing them to various traditional dishes.
A space divided into three areas - two bars and a restaurant - which, decorated with barrels and spines for beer, pays tribute to the popular drink. Access from the street offers a view of the design to admire: two different colors and materials were used to separate the staff space to the public, a game of symmetries and shades that complement and balance accordingly.
The first part, the staff area, is characterized by a strong aesthetic, where the copper is dominant with wood-effect coatings and the original vaulted brick, a general flavor deliberately charged, contrasted with the tones between the white and the gray that instead characterize the accessible area of for the public, mainly recognizable for the recovery of the original flooring in Carrara marble palladiana.
Handcrafted crafted bleached and aged wood, on one side, houses customized mugs for loyal customers, while stools with iron rod structure and shelves in the same allow tasting.
Natural light passes through the large glass façades open on both floors and complete the lighting of the suspended Spider lines creating an harmonious balance between the various colors: Spider by Studio Italia Design used in two colors with warmer tone for the part of staff area and white Spider’s fin the public space.
Behind one of the bars, a staircase gives access to the upper level restaurant, which maintains the same combination of colors and materials of the bar. Here a large open room allows customers to share a meal in a group, sit around a large communal table, or enjoy more privacy in smaller and secluded areas.
